Squeezing blood from a rock

Well as the days turn to weeks and weeks turn to months all indicators are pointing towards a bottomless pitt that we call the economy. Everyday we go to work and are reminded by employers how bad things are and maybe even watch another one of our comrades get executed. Even Obama is seen on TV giving crazy speeches about how things are going to get worst before they get better. Not sure I agree with him 100% but hey thats another article.

This is my chance to vent about this whole situation. Its one thing to have to let someone go from their jobs granted a company can no longer afford to pay that person, BUT is it really reasonable for these companies to expect to maintain the same volume of business? Or better yet is it logical for any of these companies to really expect to fire someone, pass their work off to a already over worked employee and still maintain growth or profit that they saw before the recession started????

It is not!!! But yet we all still sit around and take it in the ass. The whole system is screwed but we are forced to do it. What choice does a middle class family have that makes a house hold income of 100k a year with a 250k mortgage ammortized over 25 years? There is none.

The question is did we bring this on ourselves? Is this recession started by greed of a few? Was it really necessary for us all to buy into the hype of luxury and consumer goods? The only people to blame are ourselves. Being tied down by material crap and believing that we needed it to be happy. Forcing oursleves to keep progressing at all costs. Thats not to say that we should all revert to living on a farm and stop using technology. But the rate this stuff was being force fed down our throats really made no sense. Changing a car every year or buying the latest cell phone or having 5 tvs in a house? Seems to me that sooner or later something was gonna crack or the rug was about to pulled out.

Maybe what is happening now is really just what should have happend 10 years ago…a correction! And thats it.
