Money isn’t everything

You know its funny but we hear this all the time but yet it never really means anything. With all the doom and gloom that is going on in todays economy it is very easy to over see this one simple rule. Recently a friend of mine had left a company that he was working with for a bit over two years. This was due to cut backs by the boys upstairs. When I had bumped into him at a local coffee shop he seemed to be doing fairly well. After I heard the story of what happend I was shocked to see that he was not pissed. Basically he felt that it was bound to happen and he moved on without making a stink.

My friend has a great outlook on life and is nothing short of tenacious. I am positive that he will land on his feet and find another company or position that will need a person like him. I think that we can all take a page from his book.

For most of us we work 9-5 jobs that we dont really care for just to make ends meat or pay the bills. Or push ourselves into debt just to purchase the things that we dont really need. We some how seem to forget the things that really matter. Our health, family, friends….LIFE! Why is this???
