The true story of the Bird and Bull…

My family owns some of the largest wrecking yards in Sun Valley, California. The wrecking yards have been there for many years and they are the most recognizable yards in the world. Among the thousands of cars there to be picked clean, my uncle (owner of the wrecking yards) loved unusual spectacles to lure customers. Huge cannons, odd military vehicles, a 50 foot ghetto-blaster, monster trucks hoisted 40 feet in the air, massive arches from a defunct 1950’s car wash – anything for attention.
Seriously, …

“What? Like you need a Zillion Horsepower?”

Honda should be so lucky – they have the world by a string and still manage to bite their own hand with design. That’s right; and what I mean is styling, design, looks, beauty! Jeeze, have you seen the new Accord? Now, lie to me and say that you took a step back, smiled and said, “Hey, that’s a real sharp looking machine!” PLEASE!
Fortunately, they must have hired someone new to redesign the new Honda Fit. Unlike their other obscenely square, …

Oh my god, oh my god, OH MY GOD! This is about the funniest thing I’ve seen in months!

Generally, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt when they look obnoxious in their vehicles. I mean, not EVERY guy driving an H1 or H2 is suffering from an inferiority complex – right?

Not every Paris Hilton wana-be in a Cadillac Escalade is a nitwit – right?

There are some fine points to rebuilding a car that I hope to impart to amateurs who are willing to blow their wad on an emotional choice. First of all – STOP! Stop and take stock of what you are about to do before you click the “Buy” selection on ebay, or at least think about what you are about to undertake.

I was in my early 20s and in college when I made my fateful mistake. Given my age and educational level

For those of you who have been out of touch with news about next year’s season of Formula 1 and you live in North America, here it is: Despite the North American market being one of the largest on the planet for most automotive goods, we’re out. Despite the Canadian fanfare and patronage (since 1967) at the Canadian Grand Prix Montreal, it’s over.

Looks like Lamborghini is planning on tapping a new market. Well new to them but they will have some stiff competition. Manufacturers like Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar and Maserati seem to have already had the foresight to dip into the sports sedan market. With such stiff competition like that it will…

October 2nd 2008 – The Ferrari California finally makes its official debut at the Paris Show today after a series of special previews on the web and during two dedicated events staged in Maranello and Los Angeles at which it received a hugely enthusiastic reception.

The Ferrari California is an exceptionally innovative car whose philosophy takes its inspiration from the spirit and emotions of one of the great Ferraris of the past, the 1957 250 California, a superbly elegant open top car designed for the track, which has, over the years, come to symbolize…

Well looks like folks over in Stuttgart have managed to take an already successful design make it faster, sexier and more expensive while maintaining our interest plus lining up to order or purchase. Whoever the designers are I suggest giving them a raise or at the very least tying in their bonus with…

Mercedes 600 Guardian (Mercedes Benz S-Guard)

I found out about this vehicle by pure fluke. My fiance has been reading some weird vampire books called the twilight series written by a Stephenie Meyer. In the final book (Breaking Dawn) there is a mention of a Mercedes 600 Guardian. Let me just start by saying this car is nothing less than AMAZING. The Guardian is based off the S 600 V12. For the average enthusiast the car appears to be a regular Mercedes. There is nothing regualr about this vehicle.

If you are like millions of people across North America, chances are that at some time of the day you will cross the street somewhere in your downtown core. Either to grab a coffee, go to your office or meet a friend for lunch. If you do any of these things you need to read this article. Our cities have implemented an idiot proof system that notifies people when its ok to cross the street and when its not. This is just a friendly reminder to the morons out there that …
