Bj Penn bites the dust

Saturday January 31 the UFC light weight champ was de-railed in his tracks in his quest to capture the welter weight title from current champion Georges St pierre. From pre fight shows to all the media attention this had the makings of a Hearnes vs Leonard but turned out to be Lewis vs Tyson. The only person that can answer the question as to the lack of heart or performance is Penn himself.

As a fan of the sport I am left to question Penns commitment to the game which gave him his nick name “the prodigy”. I have to give credit where credit is due. GSP has now set the bar to what MMA is. In a sport that is ever changing St pierre looks to have little to know flaws in his armor.

Lets just say that I am glad that I did not bet against Georges even though I was routing for Penn.
